Our Brief History
Florapark Comprehensive High School is among schools officially opened during the first term of the first democratically elected government in South Africa in 1994.
The school has already put South Africa on the international map. The official opening of our school was done by the first MEC for Education of the newly established province known today as Limpopo, Mr Edgar Mushwana on 29 October 1999.
During that era of euphoria inspired by the demise of institutionalized racial discrimination in education and other sectors in South Africa, the principal of Florapark Comprehensive High School was Mr Jake Dikobo. The school’s name resembles its location, Florapark suburb in Polokwane.
